My background
I hold a Master’s-level qualification (Level 7) in Psychosynthesis from the Psychosynthesis Trust, accredited by the BACP.
Often described as “the psychology of the spirit,” Psychosynthesis is a hopeful and imaginative approach that honours the meaning and sense of purpose that can emerge through our pain, crises, and suffering. Rather than pathologising or trying to eliminate aspects of ourselves, it invites us to build a more compassionate relationship with our whole self.
I am also a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, continually inspired by the body’s wisdom—how it holds our stories and speaks quietly of our soul. It was though Vipassana meditation many years ago that my interest in the body-mind connection began.
Outside of clinical practice, I contribute to the field as a regular assistant lecturer at the Psychosynthesis Trust, supporting the training of future counsellors and psychotherapists. I also co-facilitate Waking Dreams, a 10-week guided imagination course.
My deepest learning, however, has come through my work with clients, my own therapeutic journey, and the ongoing mentorship of my supervisors.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the creative industries as a writer and creative director. Music, art, comedy, and time in nature remain deep resources in my life—and I’ll always champion yours, whether they’re well-established or waiting to be discovered.
I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), listed on the Somatic Experiencing Association UK (SEAUK) registry, and fully insured.
